Taking care of Elders (other People)
This Morning for some reason I changed the way my picture was hanging over my Bed in the bedroom. Just something told me to hang it over to the other side where I can look straight at it. And so I did. I love that picture. One House was a old colonial style with huge columns and it was like a bed and breakfast in. It had a sign in front of it. I love those old style of houses. Right next to it was a little smaller house in Victorian style. And I said I sure would love to live in one like that. White front Porch. Everything had like white picket fences and soft roses brambling over it. Nice and peaceful little street. Behind those houses was a lake and I thought that would be so need to have a white back porch too so I could look over the lake or the river. Don’t know if it was the ocean. I love the ocean and everything what has to do with water, but I like the Mountains too with green lush valleys. Maybe less than half a mile of to the right there was another big colonial style house. The only people in the street was a lady with her daughter just walking and it looked like they may went to the water. I always loved that picture with it’s peace and serenity. Well I cleaned up my bedroom after I had changed the position of the pictuI almost forgot last night I had a dream that I was in a huge room with some tables in it and the were all elderly Lady’s sitting at the tables and were enjoying my cakes I had backed and I wanted to see if they were all enjoying each other so I went to each table to check on them. Everybody was happy, smiling and liked my cakes I had backed. See in a sense I always wanted my own little Cafe or little Restaurant because I made my 3 Year apprentice in a German bakery and I always loved to bake and cook. My grandmother was a cook for over 20 years and I learned a lot from her and my Aunt too. Always cooking and baking something. I just love it.

Also I knew about catering and in Germany after my apprentice was over and I had my Diploma I had to find different work because the bakery I worked in only trained people. And once you got your diploma you get to expensive for them. They can not take you over. So for almost 1 ½ Years I worked for a butcher and I learned everything what hast to do with Meat, making different salads and so on.
When I was living in Florida I worked for European Gourmet and we also did catering for Weddings or Party’s. That Job was part time.
Also when you are a apprentice in Germany you learn everything even how to run a store. You go through many different stages and levels to learn about the business. From the Office to the cash register, to see how they bake the cakes and help, to inventory of the store plus Merchandise. I mean everything. The bakery I worked in had a store with it. We even delivered to hospitals, old folks homes, individuals and other stores. The only sad thing about it they don’t honor my degree here in the USA. How sad I say.
Well after European gourmet I worked for Sears. Office work. I had to take care of about 12-16 Technicians. All the Telephones ( 5 lines ) all the paperwork what is involved. Budgeting, renewals, schedules you name it I did it. I loved that work too, because I like Numbers always have. Even if it’s not my money to play with. I got along with everybody and the customers I had to call loved when I could talk German with them because there are a lot of Germans in Florida. You should know Termites and Fleas are bad in Florida.
And the phones rang of the hook when it was termite seasons. Swarms of it. In the evening when I had to study the Technicians manuals I felt like everything was creeping and crawling on me. I had to know what kind of work they did so I could help the customers. I even went with them on calls so I could see what kind of work they had to do. I loved that job even though my Head smoked sometimes at night if I hadn’t forgotten somebody’s paperwork or work orders. There was a lot of paperwork involved. But I did it. Loved my Job and we all had fun at the same time too. I miss that job. But we had to come back to Fort Campbell after the 3 year tour was over at Mac Dill Air force base. My Ex husband was in the Military. Sad to say we didn’t had a Sears office where I live now the closest was in Nashville at the time and that was over an hour away from where I live now. I would of have to spend more gas money going and coming back than what I would have taking in. Believe me I don’t mind working but I am no fool either. Spending 3 hours on the road with almost no pay a day you do the math. Well looks like I got side tracked again sorry.
